The General Overseer, Foursquare Gospel Church, Nigeria, Rev. (Dr.) Sam Aboyeji, has commissioned a state-of-the-art students’ hall of residence, cafeteria, and bakery at McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State.
The multimillion naira projects are aimed at providing conducive living and learning environments for the students of the university.
Aboyeji while speaking at the event, praised the university’s management for prioritizing students’ welfare and academic excellence, emphasizing the importance of quality education and infrastructure in shaping the future leaders of Nigeria.
He hailed the giant strides of the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Francis Igbasan towards ensuring adequate and quality education to students of the institution, stating that he has lived up to expectations and the entire Foursquare Gospel Church are proud of him and not disappointed for appointing him to head the institution.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Francis Igbasan, in his remarks, said the Visitor to the institution and also the General Overseer of Foursquare Gospel Church, has been a pillar of support to him since his appointment as the Vice Chancellor of the institution.
He described the commissioning of the projects as a significant milestone in the history of the institution because commissioning of three projects at a time inside the institution is happening for the first time.
Igbasan added that the infrastructure became necessary as the institution continues to strive in providing a world-class living and learning environment for students, noting that the projects represented committement of the institution towards excellence in its pursuit towards ensuring the highest standard in education and student life.
“The edifice had a total of 51 ensuit rooms and will accommodate a total of 204 students, the facilities also has a spacious common room area for socialisation and relaxation and laundry room.
Our goal is to make our students comfortable and we are determine to make things better through provision of modern hostel facility”, he said.
