In fulfilment of his commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy to his constituents, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, member representing Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has once again demonstrated purposeful representation by completing landmark educational projects across his federal constituency.
The projects include a six-classroom block at Urban Day Secondary School, Adeoyo, Ring Road, Ibadan, and a three-classroom block at Special Basic School within Adeoyo State Hospital, Ring Road, Ibadan. These are among the latest constituency projects facilitated by the two-term PDP lawmaker.
The projects facilitated through the Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) and the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on SDGs aim to address overcrowding and ensure conducive learning environments for students.
Similarly, in fulfilling his promises during the electioneering campaign, Hon. Olajide has also facilitated the establishment of an ICT hub at Oba Abass Aleshinloye Grammar School, Eleyele, Ibadan.
Fully equipped with modern technology, the facility is designed to empower students with essential digital skills and prepare them for global opportunities in a tech-driven world.
Hon. Olajide and his Senior Legislative Assistant, Mr. Kunle Folarin, conducted a pre-commissioning inspection of the projects and discussed how they fit into his larger plan to enhance the quality of education in his district.
“These projects are investments in our future,” said Mr. Folarin.
“Hon. Olajide is focused on providing opportunities for students to excel in an environment conducive to learning and skill acquisition. This is just the beginning of more impactful developments to come.”
Meanwhile, residents of the benefiting communities who participated in the inspection tour have expressed gratitude to the lawmaker, lauding the projects as timely interventions.
Mrs. Funmi Alade and Mr. Tunde Adebayo, both parents residing in the area, lauded the lawmaker’s initiative to provide a suitable and conducive learning environment for the schoolchildren.
“Our children now have a safe and spacious place to learn.” She expressed that this is a realization of her dreams.
They stated that the ICT hub revolutionises digital literacy and creates opportunities.
“These students will now compete globally,” they declared.
