The Afro-beat musician and cultural activist Oluwatobi Kongi, known as Jaja Monkey, has revealed that Jesus Christ of Nazareth is a Blackman.
Jaja Monkey said this in an interactive session with Report Africa on Sunday via WhatsApp: Any other form of education that preaches otherwise is a lie, biased and racial.
“Most things taught in Christianity from the hands of the oppressors need to be re-evaluated.” The misrepresentation of Jesus as Whiteman aims to strengthen the concept of racism inherently present in slavery, colonialism and post-colonial eras.
He added, ‘The education of the black child needs to be prioritised, and it is a good start to start with hope, faith, and belief in ourselves. My music is a form of education.
It is time for Africans or anyone of Black origin to embrace their originality, beauty and, most importantly, history. We should be the custodians of our stories and histories and not leave them for others to tell. Putin’s Russian is reflecting artefacts that prove Jesus to be Black.
“Looking at slavery and colonialism, it is observed that our history has been altered to suit the Western and Colonial values and views as opposed to ours.
