The Africa Tourism Partners, UN Tourism, and BDO have announced new dates for the 7th Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit and Challenge 2025. Initially scheduled for June 10-13, 2025, the event will now take place from Tuesday, June 24, to Friday, June 27, 2025.
The change in dates is due to the 68th UN Tourism Regional Commission for Africa, which is set to take place in Nigeria on the original dates. The summit, themed “Creating Innovative Entrepreneurship Pathways and Intra-Africa Business Connections for African Youth,” aims to provide a platform for meaningful networking, matchmaking, and exploring new business opportunities in Kenya and East Africa.
The event will feature various activities, including:
– Youth Employability and Career Development Clinic: Providing guidance and support for young entrepreneurs
– Intra-Africa Market Access: Facilitating access to markets within Africa
– Youth Entrepreneurship, Investment Sourcing, and Project Financing: Offering resources and support for young entrepreneurs
– Masterclasses for Entrepreneurs in MICE and Youth: Providing training and development opportunities
African youth in various sectors, including technology, fintech, tourism, and hospitality, are encouraged to enter the Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Challenge. The deadline for entries has been extended to March 14, 2025. The top five finalists will be announced at the June 27, 2025, summit.
The summit is being held at a pivotal moment, marked by the fourth industrial revolution, in which artificial intelligence is increasingly employed as a strategic tool for revenue generation and innovative solutions.
Africa Tourism Partners, UN Tourism, and BDO invite all tourism stakeholders and youth from across Africa to attend the summit. Aspiring global exhibitors are also encouraged to register their participation and leverage this platform for business growth, learning and knowledge sharing.
