The Obomakinwa family of Alade Idanre, Ondo State, has announced a three-day programme to commemorate the 40th year remembrance of their patriarch, High Chief Olowoniyi William Obomakinwa, who served as the Obaipie of the Alade kingdom.
Born in 1895, High Chief Obomakinwa lived a long and fulfilling life before passing away in 1985 at 90.
As the family prepares to honour his legacy, they invited friends, well-wishers, and community members to celebrate his life and contributions to the Alade kingdom.
The commemoration programme, scheduled for Friday, April 11th, to Sunday, April 13th, 2025, promises to be an exciting and memorable event. Activities lined up include games, cultural dances, and Thanksgiving.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Mr. Dickson Obomakinwa invited friends, well-wishers, and members of the community to commemorate this significant milestone. He disclosed that all events will occur at the Obomakin family compound at Ilebunkun Street, Alade Idanre.
The 40th anniversary remembrance of High Chief Olowoniyi William Obomakinwa is set to be a fitting tribute to a life well-lived and a legacy that continues to inspire the Obomakinwa family and the Alade kingdom.
