Marriott International, ATPSA To Host Webinar On Digital Transformation In Sustainable Tourism

Marriott International, a global leader in hospitality, and the Africa Tourism Private Sector Alliance (ATPSA) are jointly hosting a webinar on “Shaping the Future of Tourism Business Through Digital Transformation and the AI Revolution.”

The webinar explores the impact of digital transformation, powered by artificial intelligence (AI), on sustainable tourism.

The webinar, which costs $15, will be held on May 7, 2025. It will feature expert presentations, question-and-answer sessions, and interactive discussions. Interested participants are encouraged to register for the seminar.

Highlights of the event

According to the organiser, key highlights of the webinar included Smart Technologies for Eco-Friendly Tourism – discovering how cutting-edge technologies can enhance sustainability in tourism; Virtual & Augmented Reality’s Role in Reducing Over-Tourism – learning how immersive technologies can mitigate the adverse effects of tourism on local communities; strategies for Integrating Innovation into Sustainable Tourism Practices; and gaining insights on how to drive business growth while promoting sustainable tourism.

The organisers added that there would be expert Insights and takeaways on AI Revolution for Small Business – Unlocking the value of AI for enhanced business growth and profitability in tourism, travel, and hospitality. Mapping AI Touch Points for Tourism Accommodation Facilities – Exploring opportunities for total quality and sustainable business operations, and Digital Transformation Beyond AI – Understanding cost-effective digital platforms and tools supporting small tourism enterprises, start-ups, and business accelerators.
