Tragedy struck on Wednesday morning along the Celica Kukumoda area of the Ife-Ibadan Expressway, as three siblings lost their lives in a fatal road accident.

According to eyewitnesses, the children—students on their way to school—were hit by a heavy-duty truck transporting goods. The truck reportedly lost its brakes, veering off the road and fatally striking the children.

It was gathered that the victims were from the same family and were heading to school at the time of the incident.

Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) arrived promptly and have since conveyed the bodies of the deceased to a nearby hospital. Personnel of the Nigerian Police Force were also on-site to assess the situation and commence an investigation.
