The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, passed away in the early hours of Monday, July 7, exactly one year after he ascended the throne.
The demise of Oba Olakulehin is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.
He ascended the throne on July 12, 2024, following his coronation by Oyo State Governor Engr ‘Seyi Makinde, serving as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
He succeeded the late Oba (Dr.) Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, who passed away in 2024, barely two years after he ascended to the throne.
His family members were reportedly seen, in the early hours of Monday, moving out the personal belongings of the late Olubadan.
