Olubadan-designate, Oba Rasidi Ladoja, arrived at his family house at Isale-Osi in the Ibadan South-West local government area on Monday.
Oba Ladoja, who came into town at 1:20pm, headed straight to his family house, where family members and friends received him.
His family members have organised special prayers in both Muslim and Christian traditions.
Oba Ladoja, after the prayers, is expected to move to his Bodija residence later in the day.
Sources confirmed to Tribune Online that Oba Ladoja is set for traditional rites necessary for his installation as the new Olubadan.
Olubadan-in-Council has nominated Oba Rasidi Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Oba Ladoja was nominated at the Council meeting held at the new Olubadan Palace, Oke-Aremo, Ibadan, on Monday, August 4, 2025.
However, Oba Ladoja was not in attendance at the meeting, which had all the beaded crown High Chiefs of Ibadanland.
The Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, moved the motion and was seconded by Osi Olubadan, Oba Eddy Oyewole.
Oba Ajibola, while speaking at the meeting, said Ladoja’s name will be forwarded to the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for approval.
