A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, has congratulated the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on his recognition as Political Personality of the Year, by Sun Newspapers, describing the award as an acknowledgment of his leadership and governance style.

Hon. Olajide, who represents Ibadan North-west/Ibadan South-west federal constituency of Oyo State in the House of Representatives, also felicitated His Imperial Majesty, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his conferment with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the organization, noting that the recognition aptly celebrates a life of service of the first class monarch.

In a statement made available to newsmen on sunday by Tolu Mustapha, Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs to the lawmaker, Olajide said the awards bestowed on both eminent personalities were well deserved and timely, coming at a period when credible leadership and selfless service remain critical to national development.

According to him, Governor Makinde’s emergence as Political Personality of the Year is an evidence to his consistency in governance, bold policy direction and sense of duty to the welfare of the people of Oyo State.

“Governor Seyi Makinde has continued to demonstrate uncommon leadership through his programmes, policies, infrastructural development and transparent administration of the state.

This recognition further confirms his growing influence in Nigeria’s political landscape and the confidence reposed in him by the people,” the statement read.

The federal lawmaker added that Makinde’s leadership style has positioned Oyo State as a reference point in governance, fiscal responsibility and democratic accountability.

Hon. Olajide also paid glowing tribute to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, describing the highly revered monarch as a symbol of wisdom, stability of Ibadanland and and to the Yoruba race at large.

He noted that the Lifetime Achievement Award conferred on Oba Ladoja recognizes his decades of contribution to public service, traditional leadership and the peaceful co-existence of his people.

“Oba Rashidi Ladoja from public service to the throne of the Olubadan, represents a rare blend of experience, humility and devotion to the progress of Ibadanland.

This honour is in celebration a lifetime dedicated to service,” Olajide stated.

The lawmaker urged the people of Oyo State, particularly the youth, to draw inspiration from the leadership values demonstrated by both Governor Makinde and Oba Ladoja, stressing that integrity, consistency and service to humanity remain the true measures of greatness.

He prayed for continued good health, wisdom and strength for the governor and the monarch as they continue to serve the state and humanity in their respective capacities.
