Prince Adeyinka Afonja, CEO of Ace Mall, has been honoured with the prestigious Foundation Fellowship Award of the Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa.
The award was presented to Afonja on Friday during the institution’s 2nd combined convocation ceremony, which celebrated 6,650 graduates from the 2021/2022, 2022/2023, and 2023/2024 academic sessions.
At the colourful event, Afonja expressed his gratitude to the school’s management and encouraged the graduates to pursue knowledge as a pathway to success.
He also urged the Oyo State institution to explore alternative funding options, stating, “Institutions cannot continue to rely solely on government support in this age.”
Afonja highlighted the poor condition of the Ibadan-Eruwa Road while also making a substantial donation to the institution’s development through Ace 2025 CSR.
“It’s wonderful to team up with my childhood friend, Dr. Eyitayo Abiodun Oluwafemi Sanni-Oba, the Medical Head of the Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic Eruwa Clinic,” he remarked.
Among those present at the historic event were the Acting Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Barrister Adebayo Lawal, top government officials, royal fathers, academics, community leaders, parents, and well-wishers.
