CHAIRMAN, Senate Committee on Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Cybercrime, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, will, on Tuesday, 7th March 2017, present a paper on cybercrime law in Nigeria.
The Senator, representing the Oyo North Senatorial district at the upper chamber of the National Assembly, is the guest speaker, while the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr Fatai Owoseni, is expected as the special guest of honour at the 2017 edition of Law Week of the Faculty of Law of Lead City University, Ibadan, Oyo State.
According to the Faculty of Law Student Association’s Public Relations Officer, Comrade Wale Ojo-Lanre, the programme is scheduled to commence at 2.00 pm at the International Conference Centre of the institution.
Ojo-Lanre also hinted that executives and members of professional associations, including the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), the head of security operatives and other related agencies are expected to grace the event
Other programmes scheduled for the Law Week include culture day, dinner and paper presentation, and quiz and debate, as well as an interdepartmental sports competition.
