THE bill to establish the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Oke Ogun, Oyo State on Tuesday passed first reading in the Senate, while the bill to establish the Federal Polytechnic, Ogbomoso slated for first reading on 25th April, 2017 when the senate resumes from break.

The bill sponsored by Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, representing Oyo North Senatorial district at the upper chamber of the National Assembly was part of the bill that was read during plenary.

According to him, “It is pertinent to note that Oyo North Senatorial District has no federal institution before now and during the electioneering campaign, I promised to facilitate federal institution to the district.”
