Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator (Dr) Godswill Obot Akpabio CON, has appointed a former political editor with the Nigerian Tribune, Mr Jackson Udom, as his Chief Press Secretary.

Udom was appointed to replace the former occupant of the office, Mr Aniete Ekong, who has been reassigned to another office.

As contained in a release by the Chief of Staff (CoS) to the Minister, Sir Etekamba Umoren, the appointment takes immediate effect from 8 June 2021.

Until his new appointment, Jackson Udom is the publisher of an online news medium, Pees Reporters.com.

Udom, who is also the proprietor of the high-soaring Pees Fun Plaza, a hotel resort located at Awotan, Apete, Ibadan, Oyo State, was a staff with the Nigerian Tribune from 1999 to 2011 when he left to take up his first appointment as a media aide to Senator Akpabio who was then the governor of Akwa Ibom State.
