Condemnations have continued to trail the comments made by the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in the last election, Chief Adebayo Adelabu on the governance in Oyo State during his recent radio interview has a former House of Assembly members, Otunba Gbenga Oyekola has described such view as narrow-mindedness.

Oyekola, who represented the Atiba constituency between 2015 to 2019, while addressing newsmen in his Oyo base urged the general public not to be misled by the myopic and unbalanced criticism of the former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) who failed to demonstrate any deep knowledge of governance saying the present administration in Oyo State has established its impacts in every local government in the state.

The former council boss of Atiba Local Government between 1999 to 2002 maintained that the Makinde’s handshaves been well felt in all the 33 area councils and the LCDAs according to his findings as a grassroots politician which can be verified by an independent body.

He added that “noting is as important as s grassroots oriented policy which has been well demonstrated by the present administration and very soon all these efforts will be more pronounced for all to see”.
