The Iyalaje Oodua, Princess Toyin Kolade is partnering with the Boards of Global Youth and Girl-Child Foundation (GYLGF) to raise girls’ ambition at an international conference scheduled for Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Lead City University, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The Iyalaje Oodua will also be the Special Guest at the 2021 RAGA conference, taking place at the International Conference Centre, Ibadan, Oyo State with the theme “Gender and Power: Driving force for Progress and Social Change or a hindrance?”

GYLGF, an international Girl-Child NGO has been consistent in raising and creating awareness about the unhealthy circumstances and stereotyping being attached to the girl-child for the past six years under the name, Raising Girl’s Ambition Conference (RAGA).

The Raising Girls’ Ambition Conference was conceived to bring together the academia, researchers, development practitioners, policymakers, educational institutions, students in tertiary and secondary schools and other stakeholders who have concerns for the development of the girlchild.

GYLGF has found Iyalaje Oodua, Princess Toyin Kolade as a distinguished and strategic stakeholder whose wealth of experience and rich knowledge in womanhood, trading, commercial activities and entrepreneurship are needed at Raising Girl’s Ambition in Nigeria.

In a letter, signed by Dr Adepeju Oti, Convener, RAGA Conference, and sent to Princess Toyin Kolade,’ Invitation as a Special Guest of Honour and request for partnership on RAGA 2021′, this year’s “Raising Girls’ Ambition Conference was conceived to bring together the academia, researchers, development practitioners, policymakers, educational institutions, students in tertiary and secondary schools and other stakeholders who have concern for the development of the girl-child.

“RAGA conferences, therefore, bring to the front burner issues that would help girls’ ambitions to we appreciate the great works of her royal highness; we must say that your works are laudable and deeply appreciated all over the Oodua nation.

“We use this medium to seek your partnership with us and to invite your esteemed presence at the event,” the letter reads.

In her response, Iyalaje Oodua, who commended GYLGF Board for promoting and Raising Girls’ Ambition through conferences, seminars and lectures, disclosed that every good-spirited being should support any effort at raising the ambition of a girl child.
