The Omi Tuntun Youth Movement (OYM) a youth wing of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has been charged not to lose focus in its efforts at spreading the gospel of good governance under the administration of Engr Seyi Makinde in the State.
The Special Adviser to Governor Makinde on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige (Ige Again) gave the charge in his remark during the Omi Tuntun Youth Summit 2022 held at Omi Tuntun house, Iwo Road, Ibadan today.
Hon. Akeem Ige, said rather than losing focus the youth should transform themselves into a pressure group at ward, local and state levels that will be at the forefront of evangelizing Governor Makinde administration who has set standard for good governance for other states in the federation to emulate.
He said that by doing this other people will want to join them, therefore, they should be ready and give room to accommodate such people across the country.
Hon. Akeem Ige who is a former council Chairman and erstwhile Lawmaker in the Oyo State House of Assembly and also the Baameto Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland promised that he will continue to give moral, logistics, financial and even spiritual support to the youth in order to succeed in re-electing Governor Seyi Makinde for second term in office.
Others who also spoke at the summit include the Chairman of Oyo State Primary Health Care Board, Hon. Dada Awoleye, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on MDGs, Hon. Kunle Yusuf and others.
