In his words, “We are aware of all the good things Akpabio did as Governor of Akwa Ibom State. The Infrastructures, Free Education, Roads, Stadium, hospitals, airports and a lot more. “On this note, we call on the Minister to declare and join the race for the 2023 Presidency. We shall mobilize across the country to support him and ensure that he succeeds in taking over the mantle of leadership”, the youths declared.

In response to the demands and yearnings of the youths of Kebbi State, Abasifreke Ekanem (Spencer Ekanem) a loyalist and core supporter of the former Senate Minority Leader, who was present at the meeting thanked the youths for their belief in the ability and capacity of the Minister as well as the vote of confidence passed on Akpabio, saying,

“ I want to thank you all my brothers from this part of the country for believing in the leadership style of His Excellency, Godswill Akpabio. Senator Akpabio as we all know is a lover of peace and good things. He has delivered in different capacities, as Governor of Akwa Ibom State and Minister Of Niger Delta Affairs. To the best of my knowledge, the Minister is focused on delivering the mandate given to him by the President as Minister of Niger Delta Affairs.

” However, your demands and yearnings shall get to the Minister and we are hopeful that he will respond to your demands and that of other well-meaning Nigerians, by answering this call to join the race for Presidency in the next general elections.

“Nigeria Shall experience Uncommon Transformation. Our prayer, therefore, should be, LET GODSWILL BE DONE IN NIGERIA”.

The declaration, expectedly, ended with a solidarity march on the streets of Birnin Kebbi.
