A member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Ademola Olusegun Popoola, is dead. He was aged 46.
The lawmaker, who represented the Ibadan Southeast constituency II at the Oyo State House of Assembly, died on Tuesday evening at University College Hospital (UCH) after suffering from a kidney-related disease.
Popoola was the Chairman of the Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters.
A family source who confirmed the incident said he was scheduled to be flown abroad for surgery before eventually giving up the ghost.
