Popular Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James, alias Baba Ijesha has been found guilty of indecent treatment and sexual assault of a 14 years old minor between 2013-2014 by an Ikeja Special Offences Court
He was sentenced to 16 years imprisonment.
Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo, in a two-hour judgement on Thursday, convicted Baba Ijesha of indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault and attempted sexual assault.
The court finds that the prosecution successfully proved counts 2 and 4, that he indecently places her on his lap and rubs his penis on her body.
He is also found guilty of counts 4 and 5, where he was accused of again indecently touching the same minor and sexually assaulting her seven years later by rubbing her body and sucking her fingers.
REPORTERS AT LARGE had earlier reported that the Lagos State Police Command arrested the popular 48-year-old Nollywood actor, Baba Ijesha, for defiling a minor. The case of defilement was reported on 19th April 2021 by one Princess Adekola Adekanya at Sabo Police Station and transferred to the Gender Unit of the State CID, Panti, Yaba Lagos for proper investigation
