Former Ambassador to the Philippines, Dr Yemi Farounbi, said past leaders who have ruled Nigeria must go if the country is to record meaningful progress and development.
He made this statement when he was featured on a political programme, “Gbagede Oro” on 101.7 Yes FM, Ibadan, anchored by Seun Awodele.
Farounbi explained that some past leaders in charge of Nigeria’s affairs have compromised the country’s development, causing untold hardship to its citizens.
For his part, the southwest zonal chairman of the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON), Deacon Owolabi Oladejo, said the constitution must be rewritten rather than amended, saying this will help the country grow.
While proffering solutions to Nigeria’s challenges, Ambassador Farounbi said the constitution must be reworked and organised to achieve an egalitarian society where things work.
