Ijo Mimo Ibukun Orisun Iye Celebrates 34th Anniversary

“In the presence of God, there is fullness of joy.” This was the message of members and the founder of Ijo Ibukun Orisun Iye, which is located around Olaiya Street, Tipper Garage, Akala Express Way, Odo Ona Elewe, New Garage, Ibadan.

Sunday, 11 December 2022, was a day of joy for the church, as it celebrated its 34th anniversary and ordination service.

The program started at 10 a.m. with an opening prayer by Leader Adedamola Olatunji. The church members then marched into the church with the popular song “Unje Mode Oluwa.

Immediately after, an elder from the altar prayed, and the program began officially. At 11:20 a.m., the church’s Iya Ijo, Mrs. Taiwo Alalade, recited the only lesson from Psalm 136 vs 1-10.

After the lesson, Evangelist G Rufai recited the Apostle’s Creed, and Apst Oguntuase, Mrs Ojeikere, and Baba Ijo Akinola said prayers, respectively.

After the prayer, the host choir gave a melodious song during the praise and worship session. A short prayer led by the church’s founder, Prophetess Mary Osunla (JP). The Assistant Secretary of the church, Mrs Adebayo, then gave an announcement.

The Balogun of Ibadanland, High Chief Owolabi Olakuleyin, and Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland, High Chief Eddy Oyewole, entered the church.

The Osi Olubadan thanked the church members and God, saying, “The Olori send their regards and introduced the Balogun of Ibadan land to the church and disclosed the importance of Balogun in Ibadanland.”

After, the Baale Onigbagbo of Ibadan, Pa Adeopa danced into the church, and the ordination service started.

The newly ordained members follow Mrs. Oyeyinka as iya Alatunse Oluyole Parish, Mrs. Omoshikeji as Akowe Ijo and Oluko ewe Oluyole Parish, Mrs. Adelaja as Iya Alatunse Cathedral while the Cherubims of the church also ordained new heads, namely Kerubu Akinola as Lieteneut General, Kerubu Daniel Akinyera as Captain, Kerubu Tomiwa Fajutu as Litentent General, Kerubu Adenekan as Litentent General, Kerubu Rasheed Babatunde as Major General, Kerubu Tumise Fajutu as Colonel, Kerubu Ojiekere as Colonel and
Sanni as Brigadier General.

Baba Alakoso, Ijo Mimo Ibukun Orisun Iye, Special Apst A.O Ale, delivered a sermon. He thanked God for upholding the church from its beginning and prayed for His blessings on all the church members.
