Adissa Barry owns a business in Maryland, which, according to a Kiplinger .com article, allegedly had the second-highest percentage of millionaires in 2020.

Barry, born in Burkina Faso, has lived in the United States for over 30 years.

According to VOA, she is a renowned businesswoman and the founder of the electrical construction firm, Tei Electrical Solutions, which generates an average yearly income of $25 million.

“My major was accounting when I first came to this nation. I earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting before working part-time as a controller for a construction business for about 12 years,” the woman said.

She claims that while employed by the building firm, she observed that many CPAs lacked experience in construction accounting. However, her education gave her a solid understanding of it.

Adissa Barry established her own company and provided construction management services when the opportunity presented itself. After that, she found a business partner with a background in electrical engineering who proposed alterations to the organisation’s structure.

She entered the field of electrical engineering because Barry was receptive to the concept. She showed resiliency by expanding her skill set to take her position in this male-dominated industry.

I own my own company as a woman. I own a company, and I am a minority. They want to ensure that you have a solid understanding of the industry before approving your application for those credentials. Therefore, to obtain it, you must teach yourself.

According to Barry, a self-made millionaire in the United States, “I was attending evening classes, cutting all these wirings, and taking electrical courses.”

She cited her Burkina Faso-based teacher’s statement that a businessperson embraces risk-taking. Both good and negative risks are possible. Additionally, he or she is psychologically ready for whatever the result of that risk will be. According to Barry, it was her primary source of inspiration for starting a company.

Adissa Barry claims she never considered becoming wealthy, but starting her own company was her first risk. She added, “And I’m happy I took that chance.

She is in her 50s and has two children. Her son is an IT expert who works for one of the firms, while her daughter is an interior designer.
