An increasing number of churches and religious organisations have recently realised the potential of social media as a tool for expanding their influence and establishing connections with Nigerians who are looking for miracles. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated this movement, which helped Jerry Uchechukwu Eze and other new-generation pastors in Nigeria come into prominence. YouTube is one of the most popular mediums since it can reach a large audience and generate income.

Statista research indicates that as of the end of 2021, there were roughly 5.29 million YouTube users in Nigeria, and that number is anticipated to rise to more than 11.99 million by the year 2025.

This international reach is being used by four pastors from Nigeria.
