Royal Haven Event Centre located in the city of Sagamu, was filled to the brim as celebrities in the South West, political gladiators, business tycoons, cream de la creme in the society and host of others converged to commemorate the United Kingdom-based socialite, Tokunbo Adegbite’s mum, Deaconess Florence Ajike, who clocked 80 years
The celebration galore started at the Methodist Church of Nigeria Diocese of Remo, Rev. Mellor Methodist Cathedral, Agbowa Sagamu, by 12 noon.
Delivering his sermon, the Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. J. M. Bamidele Ibikunle, urged Mama to always be happy at the presence of God who spare her life till this moment.
Thereafter, the celebrant, children and members of the congregation came to the altar for holy communion and special prayer for the family of Adegbite was performed followed by the thanksgiving of the celebrant and closing prayer was said by Bishop Ibikunle.
Reception followed immediately at Royal Haven Event Centre located at Sagamu GRA, where Evangelist Phillips Taiwo said the opening prayer followed by the entry of the celebrant into the event hall. Profile reading was done by Professor Adebiyi, while Faramade Adegbite read the panegyric of the celebrant.
Thereafter, tributes and testimonies were said by the children, friends and families present at the occasion followed by the cutting of the cake anchored by Senator Gbenga Obadara and dancing with the celebrant commenced.
During the celebration, the popular queen of red carpet, Fola Slim performed wonderfully well at the event asking the dignitaries present at the occasion why celebrating Deaconess Florence Ajike Adegbite.
Some of the dignitaries testified to the kindness of Madam Florence Ajike, noting that she was always ready to assist the needy.
