A prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole (Wolekanle), has expressed his condolences to Governor Engineer Oluseyi Makinde, the people of Saki, and the family of the late Pa Michael Koleoso.
The Babalaje of Sakiland, a revered political figure, former Secretary to the Oyo State Government, and National Chairman of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), passed away on Monday, September 2nd, at 86.
Wolekanle in his condolence message, said Chief Michael Koleoso’s legacy is one of unwavering commitment to public service and an enduring passion for the welfare of his community. Known for his wisdom, integrity, and deep-seated love for the people of Saki, and Oyo state, he was more than just a political figure; he was a mentor and a guiding light for many aspiring leaders.
His contributions to the development of Oyo State, particularly in Saki, have left an indelible mark that will be remembered for generations to come.
The PDP senatorial candidate in Oyo North in the last election said, “I commiserate with His Excellency Governor Oluseyi Makinde over the loss of one of the respected elders from whom he draws inspiration and quality advice, May God grant him, Baba’s political associates, and his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

REPORTERS AT LARGE earlier reported that the Oyo State Acting Governor, Barr. Bayo Lawal declared that the national flag should be flown at half-mast in the state for seven days in honour of the former Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Chief Michael Koleoso, who passed away peacefully on Monday, aged 86.
The Acting Governor gave the directive on Tuesday when he led a top government delegation to pay a condolence visit to the family of the late former National Chairman of the defunct Alliance for Democracy (AD) in his Akobo Ibadan home.
