AS part of fulfillment of his electoral campaign to communities in Oyo North Senatorial district, the Chairman, Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrime, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, on Sunday donated a sum of N500,000.00 to Koba Community in Saki area of Oyo State for rural electrification.
The donation was made when some residents of the community visited the Senator at his Ogbomoso residence to seek his financial assistance to complete their electrification project.
The community was represented by Alhaji Prince Abdulrasaq Abiodun, Mr Fasasi Salami Taiwo, Mr Soliu Abdulazeez Olawa, Mr Abdullateef Buliamin and Mr Sarafadeen Ademola.
Addressing the representatives of the community, Senator Buhari reinstated his commitment to make life better for the people of his constituency and Oyo Dtate at large.
He however, encouraged privilege people in the society to continue to support and make meaningful contributions to the development of their respective communities and the larger society.
In another development, Senator Buhari assured the people of Saki to facilitate the development Okerete International Boarder Market.
Senator Buhari, who met with members of Saki Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mines and Agriculture in Ogbomoso on Sunday said he will use his position as a Senator from Oyo North to ensure that the place is developed for economic benefit of the people living in the region.
“The boarder market has the potential of not only fast tracking development of the area, but also boosting the economy of Oyo State, particularly in Oke Ogun, and as a your representatives, I will not rest until the voice of our people is being heard, and until we achieved our corporate goal,” Buhari said.
