AS part of its determination to promote tourism operation in Nigeria, the South African Tourism has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on joint marketing agreement with the Nigeria Tour Operators (NATOP).

The agreement was reached at the on-going Akwabba Africa Travel Market, at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

At the signing ceremony was the Nigeria Tour Operator President, Mr Nkewerem Onung and Mr Hloni Pitso, Regional Manager for West Africa, SA Tourism for South African Tourism.

Onung expressed confidence that the agreement between NATOP and South African Tourism will propel the actualisation of the tourism goals of the two parties in the agreement.

South African Tourism is one of the biggest participators at this year’s edition of Akwaaba, a good platform for networking among the stakeholders in the tourism, travel and hospitality industries, to propel the creation of an enabling environment for the business in Africa.
