GOVERNOR Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has dissolved the state executive council.
The dissolution was announced on Sunday morning in a short notice on the state’s radio station.
The announcement was made by Governor Fayose’s special assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Mr Lere Olayinka.
No reason was given in the public service announcement which conveyed the dissolution.
The governor directed that the former commissioners should hand over to the highest-ranking officers in their various ministries.
The statement reads:
“Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has directed the immediate dissolution of the State Executive Council.
“All the former commissioners are directed to hand over to the Permanent Secretaries of their respective ministries.
“The governor thanked the former commissioners for their service to the State and wished them well in their future endeavours.”
