A pan Arewa Group, Arewa Summit Development Initiative, Thursday in Kano announced plan to staged a one million man march in Kano by October 1st to draw awareness on the multifaceted problems bedevilling the region.
National Coordinator of the pan Arewa Group, Professor Aliyu Jibia, told a quality audience at a town hall meeting organized by Coalition for Northern Nigeria in Kano that the delegates conference would discussed ranging issues affecting the region.
Professor Jibia said the north has the wherewithal to pull itself from economic quandary, as he added “several years of comatose and inactions was responsible for the stunted economic growth”.
Jibia whose remark was drown by large ovation noted that the Group was collaborating with 19 northern states government to took of Almajirai from the streets.
He disclosed that they would engaged the services of 10million adhoc staff for the exercise, stressing that we need to convert the potential of these boys to productive purposes.
“The first steps towards economic and self discovery is to show love to the vulnerable members of the group and strategize plan to harness their potentials” the Professor of political science said.
