SPEAKER of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Right Honourable (Pastor) Kola Oluwawole, has praised the affirmation of the Barrister Gboyega Oguntuase-led executive committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state at Saturday’s non-elective convention of the
party at the Eagle Square, Abuja.

In a statement by his Special Assistant (Media), Stephen Gbadamosi, in Ado-Ekiti, at the weekend, Oluwawole congratulated the party chairman and its entire members in the state, describing the affirmation as “the tonic needed for rigorous work towards the next governorship and general elections.”

He also said the recognition accorded the exco by the national organ of the PDP was a confirmation of the abiding faith the people of the state, particularly members of the party, have in the leadership of the state governor, Mr Peter Ayodele Fayose, urging them to stand behind the governor more than ever before.

“The affirmation of the Barrister Oguntuase-led exco is a welcome development. Truth shall always prevail over falsehood. It is a good development for our party, and it will afford us better concentration. It means we have finally done away with all those distracting elements.

“In fact, that pronouncement by the national organ of our party is the tonic needed for more rigorous work and action towards the next governorship election and the general election. The party is now well
focused. We have remained hardworking ever since, but we have the fillip to work harder now.

Seyi Makinde: The Worst Governor In The History Of Oyo State?

“I am happy for the party chairman. I am happy for the party faithful. And I am happy for Ekiti State. We should all be more dedicated to the success of the party in future elections now. More than ever before, our people should continue to be behind Dr Peter Ayodele Fayose, because that affirmation, in itself, is a confirmation of the abiding faith the people have in the leadership of our governor,” he said.

The Speaker advised “those who formed illegal parallel exco to distabilise our party” to either turn a new leaf and show sincere repentance or go back to the fold of “those who sponsored them to carry out the evil plan against the PDP,” saying “anything short of 100 per cent loyalty breeds bad followership and destroys the conscience of the generality of the populace.”
