CHAIRMAN, Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrime, Dr Buhari Abdulfatai, has enjoined Muslim faithfuls to be more committed and dedicated in their service to Almighty Allah and rendering of assistance to the less privileged in the society.
Senator Buhari in a press statement issued from Saudi Arabia where he is performing Hajj congratulated Muslim faithfuls on the occasion of Eid-El Kabir.
His words: “Alimghty Allah has shown us the need to sacrifice our time and money in appreciation of what he has done for us.
“Sallah is beyond slaughtering of ram and cows. It is a period of giving thanks to Almighty Allah through sacrifice, prayer and at the same time, rendering of support to family, friends and the less privileged around us out of the little that we have.”
He continued by advising muslims to take advantage of this special month and get closer to Allah through increased ibadah and supplications because according to the Prophet (SAW ) the first 10 days of this month are the best of days.
The Senator also urged parents and custodians of culture and tradition to instill discipline and moral trainings in their children so that they will be useful to themselves and society in the nearest future.
The APC chieftain, who is representing Oyo North Senatorial district at the upper chamber of the National Assembly, however called for the continious prayers for total recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari, healing of the nation’s economy and peaceful coexistence in Oyo state and our dear country Nigeria.
