…Calls For Felony Charges
A sociopolitical group, Ekiti Rescue Team (ERT), has condemned the “illegal announcement of fake election results” by Governor Ayodele Fayose in the ongoing Ekiti State governorship election, describing it as direct invitation of anarchy.
The convener of the group, Amb. Ilesanmi Ade-Ademola, in a release, signed by the group’s Director of Media and Publicity, Femi Adewumi, expressed disappointment in the governor “who is assumed to be the chief security officer of the state but was scheming to cause crisis in the state just because he felt the candidate of his party would not win the election.”

Describing Fayose’s action as tantamount to felony, Ade-Ademola urged the Attorney General of the Federation to press charges again Fayose in the court of law where he could defend himself after the expiration of his administration in October.
The group, however, appreciated the Nigeria Broadcasting Commission (NBC) for its timely action by shutting down the TV and Radio stations being used by Fayose to unleash terror on the people of Ekiti.
Nevertheless, Ade-Ademola charged the people of Ekiti State to disregard whatever results Fayose had reeled out, noting that it is the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that has the power to collate and announce elections it conducted.
He, however, called on the people to go about their businesses and activities peacefully waiting patiently for the authentic results to be announced by INEC.
