THE Oyo State chapter of the Online Media Practitioners of Nigeria (OMPAN) has lauded Oyo Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde on appointment of Tribune’s political editor, Mr Taiwo Adisa, as his Chief Press Secretary (CPS).
The association described the Governor’s decision as the right choice and a strategic move.
OMPAN, in a congratulatory message signed by its state chairman, Mr Remi Oladoye and made available to pressmen by PRO Dare Adeniran, said, “the new CPS, Mr Taiwo Adisa is an experienced and responsible communication expert.
“Mr Taiwo Adisa is one of the leaders many of us consider as a role model in the media profession and we expect that his involvement in the government will go a long way in projecting the image and policies of the government through effective communication.”
While assuring him of maximum support, the online media group said they are ready for a mutually benefitted collaboration with government, through prompt and effective disseminations news and other materials on their various platforms.
The group also commended Engineer Oluseyi Makinde for the appointment of Alhaji Akeem Azeez as Personal Assistant, and urged him to bring in more credible and responsible journalists into his media team.
“Alhaji Akeem Azees is trusworthy and responsible journalist and we are confident that he would not betray the confident reposed in him by Eng. Makinde”, the statement reads.
