INDICATIONS have emerged over the weekend that a major APC stakeholder who has recently had a fall-out with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has made ground shaking exposition of Tinubu’s plan to take over the Judiciary.

This disgruntled stakeholder had been a key member of the Bourdilon kitchen cabinet before their disagreement over elective office positions.

It is a well-known fact that Tinubu has the ambition to become the next President of Nigeria at the conclusion of Buhari’s tenure in 2023. This was one of the major reasons for his sudden turn around to support Buhari’s 2nd term bid despite his established hatred for the President.

The project to take over the Judiciary started with his tacit support for the removal of Hon Justice Walter Onnoghen as CJN and the myriad of petitions and court case on false age declaration against the current acting CJN Hon Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad to ensure the basis for his disqualification for the position.

Part of his grand scheme was to take over the National Assembly which has been largely achieved with the recent appointment of the 9th Assembly’s leadership led by Senator Lawan at the Senate and Hon. Gbajabiamila at the House of Representatives.

His calculations and scheming are that the SouthWest will automatically be the next zone to produce the President after 8years of Northern rule represented by Buhari.

With the National Assembly practically in Tinubu’s pocket, the next step is to ensure Tanko Muhammad is not confirmed at the Senate to create a smooth path for his stooge from the SouthWest to take over as CJN.

He recently enlisted the services of the wife of one of the Justices of the Supreme Court to begin the lobbying of the other Supreme Court Justices so as to avert any possible resistance of Tinubu’s stooge from the SouthWest as CJN.

The lady who is also a lawyer was recently sponsored on a trip to Dubai with funds to procure expensive Gold wrist watches and jewellery as gifts to the other Honourable Justices to curry their favour.

She has been promised elevation to the coveted status of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (S.A.N), and true to Tinubu’s promise he has facilitated her shortlisting on the ongoing Honours list for the next batch of Senior Advocates of Nigeria scheduled for later this year.

Tinubu, in his usual calculative and strategic manner, has projected that his eventual emergence as the next President will require the support of the Judiciary because of the myriad of legal issues he knows will be thrown at him because of the many skeletons in his cupboard.

It is amazing how Tinubu is gradually and strategically increasing his national influence and taking over critical institutions of governance. He is clearly humanly unstoppable.
