For the sake of posterity, I have decided to give below a sequential blow by blow account in the verbatim of the WhatsApp messages/ correspondences between Joseph Olawuyi of Ibarapa Parrot Media Services and my humble self from 28/01/2020 till today’s evening.
On 28/01/2020, I received on my WhatsApp a message from one Joseph Olawuyi from Ayete (+2348145104681)-(Ibarapa Parrot Services) the following message quoted below verbatim:-
“Good afternoon Sir,
I am Joseph Olawuyi, from Ayete. I am chatting with you from the Ibarapa Parrot sir. We have been monitoring your developmental projects being executed recently and the ones still under processing, in your constituency. But Sir, we discover these achievements are not well captured by the media. And these are great works that should be appreciated by all and sundry provided they are aware. So, sir, I am proposing total publishing of your achievements with your permission sir.”
I did not respond at all to the above from him. Yesterday at about 1.21pm I received the following from the same person to wit:” Come Home and Take Responsibility; Open Letter to Hon Ajibola Muraina”

Good day sir,
I celebrate with you on the occasion of your safe return to the green Chamber for 3rd time. This is worth celebrating as there’s no one in Ibarapaland with this great electoral feat. Even in Oyo State, only few can boast of your feat. It means God has really favoured you beyond every imagination as far as politics is concerned in Ibarapaland and Oyo State.
Your tenure in office will be hard to beat for sure. However, I prefer you are being celebrated for your level of performances and the lives you touch while in Office. Because the motivation should be on helping your constituents. In fact your long stay in office should be an opportunity to cement high level of performances in your constituency.
I must confess to you sir, that in your constituency (Ibarapa Central/North), people are facing hard times. Nothing has really changed for better. I am not sure whether you are aware of this, that as at today in Oyo State, your constituency is experiencing worst security challenges. Series of kidnapping and robbery incidents. Lack of drinkable water resources. Bad roads. Epileptic power supply. Lack of assistance to Students, Youths, Artisans, Farmers, and the likes. This is not to say you have not done anything positive at all, but to encourage you to do more for your people. I am not oblivious of the fact that Rep Members have limited powers to tackle these major problems, but at the same time, one who is a 3rd term member of the House, ought to have been acquainted with challenges in his constituency and diligently proffered solutions with his best ability. Other House Representatives in Oyo and other States are commissioning projects in their constituencies. But here people have not really felt your impacts.
Sir, there are some different groups of youths, who desire a developed and secured Ibarapa. They are doing everything possible in their own little capacities to transform the fortunes of the land. I believe they should be commended and supported. They have taken it upon themselves to proffer solutions to challenges facing their people. They are parts of your constituents too, but are you really accessible to know and understand what is happening at the moment? When someone who is called people’s Representative is not accessible, that brings people to a hopeless situation.
Time to play politics has gone, this is the time to take up leadership responsibilities. Lives are at stake. For how long will you hold on to power before your impacts are felt? When do we need your voice if not now? This is the time to enjoy your intellectual capacity. We need clear direction and unity of purpose but your silence during this hard time is doing more harm to your people. We deserve better having entrusted you to represent us well for a 3rd time.
Some of the challenges we are facing have been-:
- Insecurity; kidnapping, robbery, herdsmen’s destruction of farmlands among others.
- Unemployment.
- Lack of support and sensitization for quality Education.
- Bad road networks.
- Epileptic Power Supply.
- Poor Health Facilities.
- Lack of motivation for Students, dilapidated schools, bad toilet system among others.
- Lack of support for farmers, artisans and indigent people.
Sir, as our representative, what are the major problems you discover since you have been representing us, and what have been your roles to solving them in your own capacity?
Sir, Abuja is your Office, but the good people of Ibarapa Central/North constituency are the reason you are in Abuja. Please come home and have a meeting with us. We are tired of “you say, you say” We want to hear you discuss your plans to improve our situations. Your timely actions will help a lot. Facilitate fresh developmental projects. Organize fresh town hall meetings. Meet with, and encourage the progressive-minded groups of people who are doing their best to help people in the region.
I desire to see you become greater and for our Land to be developed and secured so that our people can truly be blessed and happy.

This morning (today-20/01/2020) out a serious surprise for someone who was praising me on 28/01/2020 to suddenly turn round and wrote above, I decided to forward the following to him to wit:
“I forward to u below what u sent me on 28.01.2020 -Good afternoon sir
I am Joseph Olawuyi, from Ayete. I am chatting you from the Ibarapa Parrot sir. We have been monitoring your developmental projects being executed recently and the ones still under processing, in your constituency. But Sir, we discover these achievements are not well captured by the media. And these are great works that should be appreciated by all and sundry provided they are aware. So sir, I am proposing total publishing of your achievements with your permission sir.”
After forwarding the above to him, I made further comments as quoted verbatim below:-“See it once again on ur phone above. U are now writing this cheap blackmail. U are engaged in this blackmail now because we don’t patronize u. I am prepared to expose u to the whole world that u are engaged in this blackmail becomes u wrongly think that if u do this we will call u and start patronizing u. U got it wrong. I will teach u a life lesson on this ur false and malicious publication by making sure that appropriate legal action is taken apart from exposing u to the whole World as a cheap blackmailer. My constituents who are very well satisfied with my performances will also reply u accordingly. U wrote about me as if u were living in the moon after knowing the truth about me without me telling u as u indicated above. U don’t care about ur image, that of ur purported media outfit and the attendant public perception about ur media outfit when the public now discovers that u are engaged in cheap blackmail for butter and bread. “.
Then he replied on WhatsApp as follows:
“Thanks for your response sir.”
Then I advised him as follows:
“It’s in ur interest to immediately retract that publication forthwith.”
Then he also replied as follows:
- “ I have no bad intentions towards your person sir.
- The article was only published on my blog, I wasn’t the author.
- I wasn’t looking for butter and bread as you alleged sir.
- I have never solicited funds or patronization from any politician.
- The intention of the writer and the content of the said letter are not cheap blackmails as you alleged sir. Fair criticism is a sinister tool for development.
- Exposing me to the whole world will be a welcome approach if I have erred in carrying out my candid responsibility. The people of Ibarapa will be the judge. .
- I will always appreciate every constructive guidance and direction towards developing our dear land.
- Once again, the intention is not malicious but pure.
I wish you well sir and pray for more wisdom and strength. Thank you so much Sir”.
As if the above were to be last from him, in a most brazen manner, he disregarded the first part of my comment above from-“ I forward to…………..I am proposing a total publishing of your achievements with ur permission sir”. as if this were never forwarded to him , he maliciously fired another another write up without sending same to me into the social media to wit:
Hon. Muraina Vows to Bring Down Publisher Over Open Letter

Honourable Saubana Ajibola Muraina, a 3rd term member representing Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency in a very explosive manner, vows to bring down the publisher of this blog over open letter directed to him yesterday.
It will be recalled that an open letter to urge Hon Muraina to take more responsibility in his constituency was published yesterday. The said letter is a fair criticism detailing several challenges facing people of the constituency.

Many good people of the region and beyond applaud this purely non-bias, apolitical and eye opening letter. But to the surprise of many, Hon Muraina, instead of seeing the good motive and intention of this piece, tagged it malicious, attention seeking and a cheap blackmail. He vows to take legal action against the publisher and exposing him to the whole world. One would expect him to have brought enough evidences to counter every detail in the letter.
It is imperative to inform Hon Muraina and the likes, that the era of silence is over in Ibarapaland. If they don’t find people’s cry worthy of reply or attention, we will no longer hold back our voice without fear. The time of pretension and praise singing is over. This is the time to face reality. We implore Hon Muraina to read the letter with open and fair mind to be able to accept and understand its reality.
From the direct WhatsApp message of Hon Muraina to the publisher of Ibarapa Parrot, he wrote “You are now writing this cheap blackmail. You are engaged in this blackmail now because we don’t patronize you. I am prepared to expose you to the whole world that you are engaged in this blackmail because you wrongly think that if you do this we will call you and start patronizing you. You got it wrong. I will teach you a life lesson on this your false and malicious publication by making sure that appropriate legal action is taken apart from exposing you to the whole World as a cheap blackmailer. My constituents who are very well satisfied with my performances will also reply you accordingly. You wrote about me as if you were living in the moon after knowing the truth about me without me telling you as you indicated above. You don’t care about your image, that of your purported media outfit and the attendant public perception about your media outfit when the public now discovers that you are engaged in cheap blackmail for butter and bread.”
I had no choice but to reply him as follows:- “Ur bad and dubious intention has now been manifested by another publication which u released this afternoon titled- Hon Ajibola Muraina threatened to bring down Ibarapa parrot…. where most dubiously u deliberately refused to quote ur first note of 28.01.2020 which was the first part of my comment that I sent to you earlier today ( which was where u were supposed to start any verbatim publication from) but u choose to publish my further comments only and delete the first that exposes u. U published only my further comments because you u know people will situate it and deduce that ur first publication which I complained about is a product of malicious, bread and butter approach. To make matters worse, u deliberately refused to forward the second most dubious publication to me as u did earlier with the first one yesterday but instead appealed to me in the ff words which I quote below verbatim-“1. I have no bad intentions towards your person sir.
- The article was only published on my blog, I wasn’t the author.
- I wasn’t looking for butter and bread as you alleged sir.

The profession of pen should be done with the character. When u decide to publish what I sent to u, u should have quoted everything verbatim particularly ur initial request to work for me for which u did not get a favorable reply and which likely prompted ur libelous alleged letter to the editor. I want to assure u that u and ur paymasters will regret all ur publications (2) so far through due process of law. Why did u for God’s sake delete ur note that u wrote to me on 28.01.2020 (from ur second publication of this afternoon)which was the first thing I duly re forwarded to u before my further comments which u published and left out that aspect that can expose ur unwholesome intentions -wherein u wrote as follows and I quote below in extenso- “Good afternoon sir. I am Joseph Olawuyi from Ayete. I am chatting you from Ibarapa Parrot sir. We have been monitoring your developmental projects being executed recently and ones still under processing in your constituency. But sir we discovered that these achievements are not well captured by the media. And these are great works that should be appreciated by all and sundry provided they are aware. So sir, I am proposing total publishing of your achievements with ur permission sir. “
U sent the above to me on 28.01.2020 and when u waited and no go -ahead response from me, for bread and butter and cheap blackmail, u purportedly fabricated tissues of lies to the editor. I do hereby challenge u to publish verbatim the whole of what is here-now( particularly ur first note to me of 28.01.2020 which was dubiously deleted from the write up u sent out this afternoon)-still wrongly believing u can cow me with it and u will see that the whole World will condemn all ur publications as pure malicious blackmail. It is in ur interest to withdraw ur said publications. This is not an empty threat. U cannot turn yourself to a judge in ur own cause by saying the publications are fair. No one in this world will know of ur earlier request of 28.01.2020 made to me will see these ur publications and praise u for fairness. If u fail to publish this particular note in verbatim, I will get other means of publishing them so that these sacred facts can be brought to the knowledge of the public so that u will not be able to curry their favour as a person allegedly working in their favour or allegedly being threatened for nothing. If u are a diligent journalist working purely for the interest of this country u would have kept to what u confessed by ur writing above in line with the sacred ethics of journalism profession. What is more a diligent check on Nass platform of votes and proceedings which u urself earlier confirmed will have clearly shown u that Ajibola Muraina is a very vibrant and performing Hon. Not only did I move a motion on Ibarapa security challenges on the first day of plenary of the 9th House of reps, I followed up with security agents to ensure that the decision of the house is implemented. Find out from my constituents they will tell u that people were employed by me in the 8th house of reps when I was not in the house, after my election in March 2019 and before I was sworn in and after my swearing-in till now.
On a lighter mood, are u from the moon? I visit my constituency once or twice or sometimes more in a month. I am on top p of the electricity transmission stations that I facilitated since 2010 to ensure their early completion. To the glory of God Almighty within this short time, the Fed Govt has located a Federal Technical and Science college to Igangan under my federal constituency. By God’s grace more will come soon as we pray the house will approve the bills in respect of others. I can go on and on but why do I bother myself when I know u know the truth already (at least from ur above note u sent to me on 28.01.2020), u just chose to turn a blind eye and blackmail.
Let me assure u that no matter what u do or write after this my latest and second, I will not reply u again but I assure you that I will pursue this matter to its logical conclusion legally and constitutionally so that u will in the future know where ur right ends in publishing falsehood and malicious news against people for bread and butter.
Let me conclude that it is very painful that whilst I struggle day and night to meet the aspirations of my constituents, some of u have forgotten that campaigns are over and when we have a performing hon, if u cannot praise God for him then u let him be. God help the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
