The lawmaker representing the Danbatta Constituency in the Kano State House of Assembly, Murtala Kore has revealed why suspected kidnappers abducted his daughter, Juwairiyya.

The incident, according to the lawmaker, was said to have occurred around 2am on Sunday at his home in Kore Village, in the Danbatta LGA, Kano State.

Kore revealed the kidnappers wanted to kidnap him but when they were told that he was not at home, they kidnapped his 17-year-old girl, an SS II student of Government Girls Secondary School, Jogana.

The lawmaker disclosed that he was in Kano when he received a call from home by 2.30am. He learned that kidnappers had abducted his daughter, Juwairiyya.

He narrated that the abductors invaded his house and tied up his elder brother, Lawal Kore, whom they had mistaken for him.
