The Oyo State Post Primary Schools Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) management has released the cut-off mark for the recently-concluded Computer-Based Test for the teaching applicants in the state.
According to the Oyo TESCOM boss, Pastor Akinade Alamu, the Commission will ensure objectivity, transparency, credibility and merit in the appointment of whoever that will take up the teaching job of the state.
He disclosed that applicants for the teaching jobs must score at least 50 per cent in all subjects in the Computer-Based Test and a minimum of 50 per cent in the interview.
Alamu noted that any applicants that scored 50 per cent and above in the CBT should get ready for the interview that will commence on September 21 till October 3, 2020.
He advised the interviewees to bring along two copies of their CBT Score Slip, Interviewee Schedule Slip and other relevant credentials, including original and photocopies of their certificates.
The Oyo TESCOM boss enjoined applicants who met the CBT cut-off mark to watch for the time table and the print out of the interview schedule on the usual Oyo State Job Portal.
Recall that Reporters At Large reports that less than 10 per cent of the applicants who sat for the CBT examination for teaching jobs into post-primary schools in Oyo State scored 50 per cent and above.
The figure represents a little over 6,000 out of the about 90,000 candidates who sat for the examination organised by the Oyo State TESCOM.
