While engaging the EndSARS movement, Artisans, Okada riders, Micra operatives, and Youths, governor Makinde affirmed his readiness to inaugurate the state Judicial Panel of Enquiry on Police brutalities next Monday and make the representatives of the various pressure groups as members.

The governor, however, gave general Amnesty to Micra drivers and Okada riders who have been fined by the Oyo State Road Traffic Management Agency, OYTMA, for flouting the state traffic laws, and asked them to sin no more.

In their separate remarks, the conveners of the #EndSARS protest in Oyo state, Comrade Adebobola Agbeja and her counterpart, comrade Olusegun Akeju, said the youths will not back down on their peaceful agitation until the government engaged the youth through direct or indirect labour.

In her words, Comrade Bobola Agbeja noted that the youths are not threat to and that they are not in support of violence and looting that was witnessed a few days ago. She, however, said that the hoodlums who are into the acts are the creations of political elites.

She urged Governor Makinde to look at the ways he could turn the weaknesses of the youths into strength.

The speaker, Oyo State House Of Assembly, Rt. hon. Adebo Ogundoyin and other speakers at the gathering appealed to the youths to give peace a chance and cooperate with the state government on the newly rolled out youth empowerment programs.
