The official launching of Ara Foundation, a non-governmental organization established to support the less privilege, physically challenged people and others will hold on December 5 in Ibadan.

The event, which is scheduled to hold at Scrolab Hotel, Oke-Ado in Ibadan will also feature a celebration of founder’s birthday, presentation of the award to some eminent personalities, scholarship for indigent students and empowerment.

The founder of the foundation, Alhaji Ademola Oyepeju, who disclosed this in a press statement said the foundation was founded in 2018 and it is duly registered with the government.

Oyepeju said since its establishment, the foundation has lifted many poor people to a better state through a financial aide to petty traders, scholarship for indigent students in tertiary institution, donation of tools and equipment for artisans to boost their businesses, among others.

“The focus of the foundation is beyond humanitarian services but a means to enhance growth and advancement of the society through  extension of helping hands to the needy and idle hands who may later become devil’s instrument.”
