The Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) gubernatorial candidate in the 2019 election, Barrister Sharafadeen Alli, is set to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
A close ally of a former Oyo State governor and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Rasidi Ladoja, is leading some of the party loyalists back to the party.
Reporters At Large gathered that currently, a ZLP team is meeting with some leaders of APC, including the Secretary to the party, Hon Mojeed Olaoya, Chief Sola Ayandele, Senator Teslim Folarin, Hon Segun Dokun Odebunmi Hon Yinka Taiwo, Hon Asimiyu Alarape and others.
Recall that the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Mr Taiwo Adisa, recently described a news story that insinuated that the governor is set to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as “a concocted falsehood from purveyors of fake news, who are bent on maligning the governor at all cost.”
Adisa maintained that contrary to the fake news report, which was published by the Daily Post, Governor Makinde has no plan to join any other party.
