In his effort at helping indigent students and promoting education in Oyo State, a philanthropist and politician, Hon. Abayomi Fagbenro on Monday, March 1, 2021, started a 12-days of registration exercise and free 75 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms to 75 students in the state.
The distribution of the JAMB forms to indigent students is an annual exercise, designed to promote education in Oyo State, aiming at youth development, and in collaboration with Hope Also Need Help Foundation (HANHF) under the umbrella of Bibire, founded by Hon. Abayomi Fagbenro. This is part of other hundreds of humanitarian community services he is rendering daily as a dutiful leader, duly committed and seen at the forefront of development, giving life and hope to the less privilege.
Hon Fagbenro in a brief chat with Reporters At Large disclosed that forms are available at Hope Also Need Help Foundation, Plot2, Mile 110, Ago Tailor Bus-Stop, Odo-Ona Apata, Ibadan on Monday, March 1 and Friday 12, between 9am and 4pm.
He urged eligible students, especially in the Ibadan South West/North West Federal constituency, to apply in person, while noting that it is ‘first come first serve,’ and with no awaiting result.
He described the gesture as a way to harnessing some of the critical challenges affecting the nation at large.
The philanthropist cum politician noted that most of the time illiteracy could trigger unnecessary revenge either tribal or religious, “hence the foundation emerged to check, put mechanisms in place to checkmate, sensitize, empower, eradicate and reduce the level of illiteracy through standard education, as it is believed, education is the bedrock of success.”
