The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Oyo State Chapter has congratulated the newly elected executives of the Association in the Federal Capital Territory led by Comrade Bunmi Haruna.
The new leadership was elected last week in Abuja.
In a congratulatory message signed its Chairman Niyi Alebiosu and Secretary Adewale Tijani, Oyo SWAN tasks the new SWAN leaders in Abuja to promote unity and harmony among all members.
It also enjoins its FCT counterparts to resist the evil machinations of enemies of the Association who are bent on destroying the Association to attain their selfish desires.
The Pacesetter SWAN expresses confidence in Comrade Bunmi Haruna, the man it describes as a thoroughbred professional and a committed leader, who by his antecedents, has the interests of the Association and its members at heart.
“We in Oyo SWAN are ready to work with our colleagues and their new leaders in FCT because we know Comrade Bunmi Haruna as a respected and well-meaning leader who is capable of elevating the Association. We do not doubt that he will perform satisfactorily”, Oyo SWAN affirmed.
The association now prays for divine guidance and wisdom for the Kogi born sports journalist and his fellow executives to succeed in moving the Association forward.
While also praying for the victory of Comrade Haruna led Abuja SWAN leaders over their enemies, Oyo SWAN urges the newly elected FCT leaders to carry their members along in the formulation and implementation of all their policies.
Oyo SWAN further calls on all Sports Journalists in the nation’s capital to support the Comrade Haruna led Executives.
