Inner Wheel District 911 has announced a change in the earlier date picked to install a distinguished lady golfer and a member of Ikeja Golf Club, IWM Elizabeth Modupe Oyeduntan as its 38th District Chairman of District 911 and inauguration of the District 911 Executive Officers, will now be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021.
The Saturday, July 24 2021 earlier picked coincided with the Lagos State Local Government elections thereby necessitated another date after due consultation according to a statement issued by the Installation Committee and made available to journalists.
Inner Wheel is an International women’s organization, conceptualized to create friendship, service and understanding. It is one of the largest women’s service organisations in the world and is active in more than104 countries.
Oyeduntan, who planned to bring her golfing experiences to bear as the new District Chairman that will be installed along with other executives to steer the affairs of the District in the 2021/2022 Inner Wheel Year has pledged to be dedicated to the selfless mantra of the humanitarian organization.
She, however, called for support and cooperation from members, all and sundry towards her Installation as the 38th District 911 Chairman and the inauguration of the district executive officers, and fundraising in aid of the District projects and empowerment of Clubs a huge success.
“We have more than 108,000 members in 3,895 clubs. The growth of Rotary extended to the Inner Wheel in the formation of Districts specifically catering for Nigeria. Inner Wheel District 911 is the oldest District in Nigeria, having emerged in 1985/86”, Oyeduntan noted.
