In a heartwarming display of commitment, the Amdalat Oloyede Foundation delivered on a solemn promise on Friday, distributing free school uniforms to every student at CAC Primary School 1 & 2, Ashanke Compound, Ibadan.
This act of profound generosity will transform appearances and boost the spirits of children in the school, fulfilling a pledge made by the foundation’s founder
Brigadier General Mutiu Abiola Oloyede-Asanike, the visionary behind the foundation, was deeply moved by the sight of students in tattered clothing and without proper footwear during an earlier visit.
This poignant experience, which brought tears to his eyes, solidified his resolve to provide further support. He had previously distributed 15,000 sixty-leaf exercise books across six Ibadan schools as part of the foundation’s back-to-school initiative last year. He had already supplied school sandals to the pupils of CAC Primary School.
Friday’s uniform distribution marks the complete fulfilment of his compassionate commitment.
Representing Brigadier General Oloyede-Asanike at the distribution, Dr Saheed Adetunbi Ige underscored the initiative’s core aim: “to promote education and support vulnerable families.”
He eloquently captured the impact of the gesture, stating, “Seeing the joy on your faces shows that you have been given a sense of pride.”
Dr. Ige also urged the students to embrace their studies and maintain good character, now that the foundation has fulfilled its promises.
Also in attendance to coordinate the distribution of the school uniforms was Olori Asuka Bioye-Oloyede Asanike, the wife of the Mogaji Asanike dynasty, Barrister Bioye-Oloyede Asanike SAN.
Established in 2023 in honour of the late Olori Amdalat Oloyede-Asanike, the Amdalat Oloyede Foundation operates as a non-governmental and non-profit organisation.
Its fundamental mission is to bolster government efforts in advancing educational development throughout Ibadanland, ensuring a brighter future for its youth.
