Mr Olofin revealed that “We are delighted by the reports and testimonies of efficient and effective administration of bursary for Ekiti State Indigenes who are at the Nigerian Law School by Dr Kayode Fayemi, which has not only lessened the financial burden of the students but sometimes served as the saving valve for the realisation of dreams for both the students and their parents.”
He pointed out that the bursary being paid by Ekiti State Government to Law students is a testimony of Governor Fayemi’s deep interest in capacity development, humanitarian service and shoring up the deficiency in the legal sector.
Mr Olofin noted that the bursary has a great import on the academic performance of the students as it helps in catering for other expenses like the acquisition of books, paying for coaching sessions, feeding and transportation.
“This psychological relief has a positive effect on academic performance at the Bar Final as most students particularly the indigents ones. are saved from distraction arising from a dearth of funds.”
Olofin disclosed that it was on record that Governor Fayemi has been faithful in this ethical policy at paying a proportionate amount as a bursary to assist Ekiti indigenes in Nigerian Law School and prayed that this noble and commendable precedent will outlive his tenure.
