A popular veteran fuji musician, Alhaji Isiaka Iyanda Sawaba popularly known as Easy Sawaba is dead.
The Ibadan-born musician, aged 70, died at an undisclosed hospital where he was receiving treatment. He collapsed a few days ago.
Sawaba, who hailed from Ile Aperin, Orita-Aperin in Ibadan, was born in the old Gold Coast presently Ghana in the early ’50s.
He was so much influenced by the Fuji Doctor late Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister that he decided to match Barry Wonder Fuji’s tone.
Alhaji Iyanda Sawaba the Pata Olokun Exponent had a breakthrough in fuji music in the ’70s and ’80s. As a recording Artist, Alhaji Iyanda Sawaba has waxed over twenty albums.
