A leading gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State for 2023 election, Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Alao, has agreed to pick the gubernatorial expression of Interest and nomination form.
He made the disclosure at a meeting with his Zonal and Local Government Coordinators in the 33 Local Government Areas of Oyo State, held on Monday, April 25, 2022, at his campaign headquarters in Ibadan, the state capital.
The meeting was convened to assess the readiness of his mobilizers for the forthcoming primary of the party slated for Wednesday, 18th May, 2022.
The Coordinators who took turn to talk, expressed their readiness to mobilize for the Delegates Congress or Direct Primary of the party, urging Engineer Alao, to without any delay pick the Gubernatorial Expression of Interest and Nomination Form.
The Asiwaju of Irokoland, while appreciating the presence and support so far of the Coordinators , assured them of his resolve to contest the primary and appeal to them to see other aspirants and their supporters as comrades and be reminded that they are all in the same party.
Meanwhile, the Media Office of the APC chieftain, has denounced the continued vandalization of campaign bill boards of Engineer Alao within Ibadanland and other parts of the state, accusing members and supporters of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of being behind the act.
It stated further that members and supporters of APC in the state are subjected to harassment, molestation and intimidation, noting that the thugs are daily descending on members of the public who choose to associate or put on anything with the logo of APC.
