Hon. Fowokanmi Oluwafemi Adebayo, popularly known as Betterlife, has emerged as the candidate of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), at the recently concluded primary elections to bear the party’s flag in the forthcoming election for the House of Assembly for Ibadan Constituency 2.
According to the results, “Samson Opeyemi Fatola (3 votes), Babatunde George Ige (3 Votes), Alarape Kazeem Abidemi (3 votes), Jimoh Taiwo Saheed (0 votes), Olufemi Gbenga Emmanuel (0 votes) and Olufemi Fowokanmi (8).”
Fowokanmi, while appreciating the leaders, delegates and members of the party across the state constituency` said, “God has been the center of my political movement, and I must confess it has not been an easy journey, especially with powerful aspirants we were in the contest.
“I appreciate all the delegates, for choosing me to represent the good people of our constituency. This victory is dedicated to the good people of my constituency, and to the ever accommodating Governor Seyi Makinde, because he is a symbolism of success in areas of growth and development. The stakeholders in Oyo PDP are equally appreciated for their immeasurable support and guidance given to me over time, and God help us all.”
