Osi Olubadan, Eddy Oyewole honours Ojeikere Family As They Give Out Twin Daughters Out In Marriage

On Friday, 22nd July 2022, all roads leading to Teachers House, Molete, Ibadan, were jam-packed when the family of Ojeikere gave away their twin sisters, Mary Omokhosen and Mercy Omokhoba, to the families of Akinfolarin and Alaka.

The event started with the introduction of the bride’s parents, Chief and Chief Mrs Ojeikere, to the sit by Ajoke Alaga.

After the introduction of the bride’s parents, the families of Mr and Mrs Alaka were ushered in, followed by Akinfolarin’s family.

Ojekere Twins

Emmanuel Ojeikere, the twin brother, read the first and second letters. After the reading of the letters, the grooms, Yinka Alaka and Seyi Akinfolarin, were ushered into their seats.

Immediately, the brides, Mary Omokhosen and Mercy Omokhoba, were ushered in gorgeously and performed the engagement rites.

The parents of the three families showered encomiums on the brides and prayed for a successful and fruitful wedding.

Finally, the couple changed into white attire and cut the engagement cake.

The following day, July 23, 2022, the morning shoot took place at Billionaire Hotel and Suites, New Garage, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.

In an interview with Mercy, she stated that “Her husband is a nice and cool man. She further stated that she has no regrets about getting married to him and thanked both families for their support, praying to God to bless and make her marriage fruitful.

Her husband, Yinka Pius Alaka, while speaking, described his wife as a very loving woman. According to him, “I am happy that I met my forever; I love her so much and pray that God should bless our union.

Ojeikere Twins

Speaking with Oluwaseyi Joseph Akinfolarin, who is a music producer, business entrepreneur, and husband to Mary, described his wife as his mother, his life and his love.

Seyi also said that Mary loves music, and that is what calms her whenever she is angry and prays that the devil will not separate them. Mary’s response described her husband as a caring and spiritual man. Mary also said further that her husband is a man who is always ready to listen and there for her.

According to her, ” I was happy when he proposed to me and pray that our union lasts forever.

Immediately after the interview, couples left to Ijo Mimo Ibukun Orisun Iye, at Olaiya Street, Lawani layout off Oleyo road, Odo-Ona-Elewe, Orita Challenge, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria for the holly matrimony.

The opening prayer was said by Igbakeji Baba Alakoso Ijo Mimo Ibukun Orisun Iye, Most Sr. Apst. Tunde Fajutu. After the prayer, the brides walked in gorgeously with their brother, who represented the father of the brides.
With the hymn “To God be the glory” sung by the host choir, the lesson was read by Most Senior Apostle Oguntuase, which was taken from the book of Genesis, chapters 2:18-34.

The sermon was delivered by Baba Alakoso Ijo Mimo Ibukun Orisun Iye, special Apostle Ale (JP). In his words, I thank the church for their support and also congratulate the newly wedded couples. He said further that marriage is ordained by God and I want to charge them to live in unity and love themselves as Christ loved the church.

From Osi Olubadan of Ibadan Land, High Chief Edward Oyewole: “I am so happy that I witnessed today. I am like a grandpa to the twins (Mary and Mercy), and I prayed that God should bless their union and make it fruitful, Eddy Oyewole said.

Other dignitaries, the crème de la crème of society, socialites, friends, and families showered encomiums on the couple and prayed for their successful marriage.

Later, the Kerubus (Omo Ogun Igbala) of the church had a memorial salute for their late Patron, who was the father of the brides, late Snr Anthony Ojeikere, and the wedding certificate was issued by Baba Alakoso Ijo Ibukun Orisun Iye, Most Special Snr Apst Ale (Jp).

At the reception, which took place in the lead city hall at Lead City University, Oyo State, Ibadan, Nigeria.

The programme began with an opening prayer, which was recited together by the dignitaries present at the occasion, followed by the entry of the first groom’s parents, Mr and Mrs Akinfolarin. After that, the second groom’s parents, Mr and Mrs Alaka, and the bride’s parents, Chief and Mrs Ojeikere, were ushered in.

And the Chairman of the occasion, Engr. Tokunbo Fadiayiro of the Nigerian Civil Aviation, was introduced. In the chairman’s keynote address, he said, “The grooms and brides should never allow the third party in their marriage, and he prayed that the good God bless their marriage” Immediately after, the bridal train was ushered in with the couple in a grand style.

During the reception, the cake was cut and a couple’s dance was performed.

DJ Saipol was on the stand at the reception to play melodious songs, while MC Matos was not left out doing what he knows best at the event, and the popular musical band HESSKING gave us a melodious love song to dance to.

At the cream of the crop in society, dignitaries, families, and friends from home and abroad filled the event hall to the brim to honour the newest couples.
